How did you come up with the idea to start a business with natural luxury cosmetics
The idea appeared one morning, but before its creation, there was a deep process of both, subconscious and conscious thinking. Looking back now, I see that the concept of “aromatherapy” has spontaneously matured over the years, gradually taking shape until the moment, when I was completely ready for it.
All products are equivalent to those found in 5-star hotels. Who are they intended for?
The philosophy of our brand is reflected in its name, “Like a Therapy Fragrance“. When I created our products, my main thought and idea was for each item to be of high quality and to evoke a feeling of relaxation and happiness. We feel most relaxed on our vacations, and “Like a Therapy Fragrance” wants to bring that feeling home. We aim for our products to create a daily sense of pleasure, similar to the enjoyment we experience on luxury trips.
Where did the idea for cooperation with perfumeries in Grasse, which is considered the capital and the place of origin of the first perfumes ever?
I must admit that the meeting with Grasse happened completely by chance. The idea was to establish our brand’s entire message, but the circumstances were such that I had to look for collaborators outside our borders. Researching the fragrance industry led me to the very center of that magical world: the small town of Grasse on the coast of the Cote d’Azur. It is a magical place with a 300-year tradition in perfume making. It’s an incredible story of how that small place became the center of the perfume industry, where once upon a time Chanel No. 5 itself was created, and today, the vast majority of the world’s perfumes are made there.
How important is it to you that the brand Like a Therapy Fragrance carries the label of natural products?
Quality is something I refuse to compromise on, in other words, all our products are made with the highest quality ingredients and in collaboration with companies that prioritize environmental protection. Our room fragrances contain 20% concentrated perfume and are based on 100% natural alcohol. As for cosmetics, our products are made from 100% natural ingredients meaning that all products are vegan, and free from parabens, silicones, colorants, and mineral oils. We have made an effort to ensure that the packaging itself is in harmony with nature, which is why we have opted for natural materials. Our decorative rings are made of concrete, labels are made of cotton, and the boxes are made of cardboard. We also encourage our users to continue using our product packaging and provide ideas on how to do so. Quality, well-being, and sustainability will always be at the core of the LIKE A THERAPY FRAGRANCE brand.
Being a woman in business?! Tell us about the challenges balancing between a family and a successful business.
I have been a woman in business for more than 20 years. Before starting my own business, I worked for 15 years in leading international companies. Without this experience, the path to developing my business would have been much more challenging. I don’t think there should be a difference between women and men in business. Business doesn’t discriminate, nor does it consider personal costs and obligations. All of us work to maintain the company’s liquidity and build our own dreams. I believe that balancing family and business is extra challenging, but in a good way, and everything is possible with the right organization. I never wanted to compromise between my work and family life. I think it was the most important test for me personally, which I hope I passed. Understanding and support from those closest to me, even for my sometimes “crazy” ideas, facilitated the entire process of creating something like a therapeutic fragrance. Without them, this wonderful story would have a hint of bitterness, and that would not be acceptable for me. I am happy because I am one of those people from whom I expected the same support, and I received it without reservation. I am grateful to them every day.
